Brazilian cupuaçu butter absorbs moisture and phytosterols to regulate the production of lipids in the skin. It helps to store moisture an d act as a UV filter. Alva's cupuaçu butter is gathered from the Brazilian rainforest, where the cultivation of cupuaçu is a significant alternative to cultivated soya in terms of single plantations, thereby helping to give space for the re-population of the rain forest.
